Recreate Image Kar Tanesi Stool #423 designed in 2009
Permanent Link : http://www.omcdesign.com/?design=423&type=Stool [View]
Kar Tanesi Stool
The Stool: Kar Tanesi, which means snowflake originated when I was trying to come up with a snowflake while playing around, afterwards, also effected by so many watched sci-fi and animations, I wanted to give it the feeling of an alien device where some kind of power is channeled from the ground to the middle spot, If the technology would permit, I would do this design such that it absorbs heat from the ground and carries the heat to the seating, this would be especially good for cold places where a hot seating is the best..

How to Produce: This simple version is incredibly simple to produce, a metal plane is press-cut and then the legs are bend inwards. Could also be realized in wood but will not give the same effect. Plastic version could be injected molded..

Possible Materials: The designer noted the following materials could be used in production: Metal, Wood, Plastic.

Dimensions and Packaging: The enclosing box for a single Kar Tanesi Stool is 541 mm x 447 mm x 520 mm, each box contains a single Kar Tanesi Stool and the bounding box dimensions for the package is 591 mm x 497 mm x 570 mm, roughly 200 pieces fit into 20' standard container and 420 pieces fit into the larger 40' standard container..

Excavator Boss Executive Chair
The Executive Chair: Have you ever used an excavator? I had the opportunity, they really have nice and big armchairs. Their seating is usually wide to provide the maximum comfort in harshest conditions. This is a heavy duty arm chair. It has enough space for those people who like to make various poses, such as putting legs on top of the seating, very comfortable and wide. This is the chair that I want for my self for my new office. I imagined 6 legs so that it has absolute touch to ground, absolute balance. I love this, I want this. Castors are my design..

How to Produce: Top part incredibly simple, metal press only, afterwise coated with polyurethane and leather. Most parts stainless metal that is chromed. Castors could be that of Tente or any good company..

Bibibi Executive Table
The Executive Table: An executive desk has to be overpowering and overwhelming, when people sit in front of it they should feel that someone strong is siting at that chair - well that is the core philosophy of an executive desk. Optionally inside there are drawers to store documents etc. Golden line is used to make sure people avoid the edges, also in Asian culture it feels really rich. I also like black and gold color go together..

How to Produce: Could be wooden or metal in either case the structure is extremely easy without the drawers..

Dimensions and Packaging: The enclosing box for a single Bibibi Executive Table is 2500 mm x 835 mm x 1258 mm, each box contains a single Bibibi Executive Table and the bounding box dimensions for the package is 2550 mm x 885 mm x 1308 mm, roughly 15 pieces fit into 20' standard container and 30 pieces fit into the larger 40' standard container..

Recreate Image Fibbunacci Executive Table #410 designed in 2009
Permanent Link : http://www.omcdesign.com/?design=410&type=Executive+Table [View]
Fibbunacci Executive Table
The Executive Table: Why Fibbunacci? The Fibonacci numbers are a sequence of numbers in mathematics named after Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci. It is a set of numbers and you can retrieve the golden ratio and spiral using this set. Because I started to design in a Fibonacci set but I made a mistake, I therefore repeat my mistake and make a typo on purpose to get the "Fibbunacci" as the title of design. This is an executive desk that is elegant, rich and strong feel..

How to Produce: Depending on the material of choice, this could be pressed from metal plane and painted / chromed. Wood etc is possible as long as you apply the correct coating material to reach this feeling..

Possible Materials: The designer noted the following materials could be used in production: Metal.

Dimensions and Packaging: The enclosing box for a single Fibbunacci Executive Table is 2300 mm x 760 mm x 800 mm, each box contains a single Fibbunacci Executive Table and the bounding box dimensions for the package is 2350 mm x 810 mm x 850 mm, roughly 27 pieces fit into 20' standard container and 45 pieces fit into the larger 40' standard container..

Merdi Conference Table
The Conference Table: The merdiven which literally means "stairs" is a design that was inspired by traditional Islamic art plus mathematics, plus architecture and geometry and because the fact that when you put four of them it looks like a spaceship.. to say the truth, it is inspired by everything I see, this usually applies to all designs. The design is modular, we can have a conferance table 4m x 1m or 5m x 80 using two modules..

How to Produce: Geometric cutting of wood, please note that there is a metal structure that is not visible from this angle, the metal structure is basically metal square tubes from the edges to the center like a spiderweb. This design is very efficient and does not vast any materials..

Possible Materials: The designer noted the following materials could be used in production: Wood, Metal.

Dimensions and Packaging: The enclosing box for a single Merdi Conference Table is 4000 mm x 760 mm x 800 mm, each box contains a single Merdi Conference Table and the bounding box dimensions for the package is 4050 mm x 810 mm x 850 mm, roughly 21 pieces fit into 20' standard container and 45 pieces fit into the larger 40' standard container..
