Product Family: Scifi |

The Jewellery Display Element: A tribe of herbivorous apes is foraging for food. One of them is attacked and killed by a leopard. They are driven from their water hole by another tribe. Defeated, they sleep overnight in a small exposed rock crater. Waking at sunrise, they find that a mysterious black, rectangular monolith has appeared in front of their shelter. They approach the monolith shrieking and jumping. Subsequently, one of the apes realizes how to use a bone as both tool and a weapon while having mental flashbacks to the monolith, indicating that the monolith has either "taught" or inspired him to this knowledge. The apes are now able to kill animals and eat meat. The next morning they wrest control of the water hole away from the other tribe, killing their leader in the process. Exultant in victory, the ape leader throws his bone into the air which switches via match cut to a shot of an orbital satellite millions of years in the future, circa 1999. This satellite and three more immediately following it are generally identified as orbiting nuclear weapons. Actually, this a synopsis of a scene from the 2001: A Space Odyssey. This monolith actually can come in many colors and it is to display earrings and necklaces...
How to Produce: Monolith part can be anything including ceramic, acrylic or metal depending on the budget and angle of the shop, I think wood is the best choice. More lines of exhibition can be added on demand, the metal parts are bended tubes or writes, welding might be necessary. The dimensions can be changed greatly..
Possible Materials: The designer noted the following materials could be used in production: Wood, Metal, Plastic.
Dimensions and Packaging: The enclosing box for a single Black Monolith Jewellery Display Element is 800 mm x 445 mm x 158 mm, each box contains a single Black Monolith Jewellery Display Element and the bounding box dimensions for the package is 850 mm x 495 mm x 208 mm, roughly 420 pieces fit into 20' standard container and 870 pieces fit into the larger 40' standard container..
